'Tis the Season for Giving!

Starting your holiday shopping?

Here are a few things in our store that help us and help you cross things off your do-do list.

Peace

We offer a line of well-being products that have been custom-crafted for us. Peace has a scent designed to "encourage inner calm," which we can all use from time to time. There is a foaming pump soap, bubble bath, spray aromatherapy and a bar soap. They are all natural and a wonderful gift for anyone, especially those impacted by autism, including caregivers. Email us at hello@fpf4autism.org for details or visit our website at www.fpf4autism.org and click SHOP.

Also, if you happen to be shopping online and making purchases at Amazon.com, we have a portal set up in which for every purchase you make, a donation is made to us from Amazon. Enter Amazon Smile here and enter Flying Point Foundation for Autism. Shop away and you can help us at no cost to you!

Refreshing Help For Kids with Autism!

We are so happy with our new lemonade stand made by the amazing Hannah Cook. She made it foldable for easy transport and simple enough for a kid to set up. We will be at the Polish Festival (August 20 & 21) and at Hamptons Yoga Festival (August 27 & 28). VOLUNTEERS will definitely be needed! It's a great day of fun for you and your child and a great way to give back! Send us an email if you're interested in a block of time. Sign-up sheets coming soon.

Get Your Art On!

Today our families will be at the gorgeous Parrish Art Museum for another of the Parrish Family Access programs, a partnership with the Flying Point Foundation for Autism to make the museum accessible to those who need more support. Thank you to the Parrish for recognizing and then accommodating this need in our community!

Brittany Flaherty of East Moriches is the winner of the very first $1,000 scholarship awarded by the FPF4A. It is given to a graduating senior with autism who will be attending college and Brittany is headed for Suffolk Community College this fall.  The daughter of Antonia and Kevin Flaherty, Brittany hopes to be a museum curator. This is an amazing accomplishment for a young lady whose parents were told she'd never learn to read.

We were thrilled to present her with a check toward her studies and we have no doubt she will succeed given her extensive high school resume, which includes marching band, Key Club, junior prom committee, Rotary Interact, yearbook and so much more. Congrats Brittany from all of us at FPF4A!
